Navamsa chart calculator
The Navamsa (D-9) divides every sign into nine parts of 3°20′. Vedic astrologers read it alongside the birth chart to judge marriage, dharma and how strongly each planet can deliver its promise.
How the Navamsa is calculated
Each 30° sign is split into nine Navamsas of 3°20′. For fire signs the count starts from Aries, for earth signs from Capricorn, for air signs from Libra and for water signs from Cancer. A planet's Navamsa sign follows directly from its sidereal longitude, so the chart is a calculation, not an interpretation.
Vargottama planets
A planet that occupies the same sign in the birth chart and in the Navamsa is called Vargottama. Tradition treats it as unusually steady and reliable, much like a planet in its own sign.
Navamsa and marriage
Parashari tradition uses the 7th house of the Navamsa, its lord and Venus (or Jupiter) in the D-9 to describe the nature of partnership. It refines, rather than replaces, what the birth chart shows.
Birth-time sensitivity
The Navamsa Lagna changes roughly every 13 minutes. Your report shows how many minutes your Navamsa Lagna is from changing sign, so you can judge how much to rely on it.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Rashi chart and the Navamsa?
The Rashi (D-1) chart shows the signs planets occupy; the Navamsa (D-9) divides each sign into nine parts. Tradition reads D-1 for the overall life and D-9 for marriage, dharma and the inner strength of planets.
Do I need an exact birth time for the Navamsa?
Planet positions in the Navamsa barely change with small time errors, but the Navamsa Lagna changes about every 13 minutes. The report marks how reliable each divisional chart is for your birth-time accuracy.
Which divisional charts are included?
The full report includes 16 divisional charts from D-1 to D-60, including Navamsa (D-9), Dashamsa (D-10) and Shashtiamsa (D-60), each with its traditional purpose.
