Your free Vedic birth chart, explained in plain language

Enter your birth details to get a full Vedic birth chart (called a Kundli in India) — rising sign (Lagna), Moon nakshatra, Vimshottari Dasha, Navamsa and 15 divisional charts, yogas, Jaimini and KP — with a simple report on personality, career, money, relationships and wellbeing.

Different Sun sign from your horoscope? That's expected. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, which sits about 24° behind the Western (tropical) one, so most people's Sun sign moves back one sign. Your detailed report shows the Western chart too.

How your Vedic birth chart is calculated

1. Exact moment

Your local birth time is converted to Universal Time using historical time-zone and daylight-saving rules for your birthplace.

2. Astronomy

Planet positions, Ascendant and house cusps are calculated from astronomical data, then converted to the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsha.

3. Tradition

Divisional charts, dashas, yogas, Ashtakavarga, Jaimini and KP rules are applied as documented, transparent calculations.

4. Interpretation

Findings from many independent factors are combined into plain-language readings, each with a confidence level and the evidence behind it.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Vedic birth chart (Kundli)?

A Vedic birth chart, called a Kundli or Janam Kundali in India, shows the positions of the Sun, Moon, planets and lunar nodes at the moment and place of birth, arranged in twelve houses from the rising sign (Lagna).

Why is my Sun sign different from my Western horoscope?

Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, which is lined up with the constellations. Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, which is tied to the seasons. The two are currently about 24 degrees apart, so most people's Sun sign moves back one sign in a Vedic chart. Neither is a mistake. Your detailed report also shows your Western (tropical) chart.

How accurate are the calculations?

Planetary positions are calculated from astronomical data with historical time-zone rules. Interpretations follow traditional rules and describe tendencies, not certainties.

Which ayanamsha do you use?

Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) by default, the Indian government standard. Raman, Krishnamurti (KP) and Sri Yukteshwar are also supported. Different ayanamshas explain most differences between astrology websites.

What if I do not know my exact birth time?

Choose "Approximate" or "Unknown". The report then lowers its confidence, avoids time-sensitive conclusions such as the Ascendant and D-60, and counts houses from the Moon when the time is unknown.

Is my birth data private?

Reports live at a private, unguessable link that search engines are told not to index. Your name and original input are stored encrypted, and you can delete them at any time from the report page.

Can astrology predict health or lifespan?

No report here diagnoses illness or predicts death. Health sections describe traditional wellbeing tendencies only; please consult a qualified professional for any health concern.
