Lo Shu grid calculator
The Lo Shu grid is a 3 × 3 magic square from ancient China, now widely used in Indian numerology. Placing the digits of your birth date on it shows which energies are strong in you and which may need more attention.
The Lo Shu layout
The grid is arranged as 4 9 2 on the top row, 3 5 7 in the middle and 8 1 6 at the bottom. Every row, column and diagonal adds up to 15, which is why it is called a magic square.
How your grid is filled
Write out your birth date and place each digit in its box, skipping zeros. For 14-08-1990 the digits are 1, 4, 8, 1, 9 and 9, so 1 and 9 appear twice, 4 and 8 once, and 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 are missing. Some practitioners also add your Life Path number to the grid.
Repeated and missing numbers
A number that appears more than once is read as a strong trait you use often. A missing number points to a quality you may need to build with practice, not something you lack for good.
Planes of the grid
Each full row, column or diagonal is called a plane, such as the thought plane (4 9 2) or the action plane (8 1 6). A complete plane is read as a natural strength in that area of life.

Frequently asked questions
What does a missing number mean?
It suggests an area where you may need more conscious effort. Many people with missing numbers simply build those skills through habit and experience.
Why are zeros not placed on the grid?
The Lo Shu square only has boxes for 1 to 9, so zeros are left out. Some readers see many zeros as extra sensitivity, but they do not change the grid.
Is the Lo Shu grid the same as Vedic numerology?
It comes from Chinese tradition but is now commonly read together with Moolank and Bhagyank in Indian numerology. Your report shows all of them.
